Meet our staff!
Bryna Sampey, IBCLC
Lactation Consultant, Birth Doula, Owner
I'm an IBCLC (Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant), which means I'm qualified to help with a variety of situations (from basic to complex) that relate to breast- or chestfeeding, helping babies with special needs, tongue-tied babies, other types of infant feeding, and weaning. I offer visits in our cozy clinic space in downtown Camas. It's no accident that we are kitty-corner from the best coffee roastery in town.
I began training in 2006, and 4500+ hours later, I sat for my big exam and passed! I re-certified in 2015, and will sit that big exam again in 2020. When not working with clients one on one, I educate parents and professionals all over the world.
I have 4 kiddos, a seafaring husband, a dog, and ducks & chickens. Whew! It's wild all the time at my house-- at least there's always a pot of something yummy bubbling away on the stove!
Heather Philo, CLC
Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Lactation Counselor, Admin & Resources
Hi! My name is Heather and I am a Certified Lactation Consultant, birth and postpartum doula. With four children, I have had the opportunity to give birth in different settings and situations making me a versatile ally through your delivery and recovery.
All four of my children were breastfed (one has yet to be weaned) and we have overcome many feeding obstacles as well as the special chance to tandem feed for two years. Peer breastfeeding counseling has been my passion for the past 21 years. I am excited to help you achieve your feeding goals.
A Pacific Northwest native, I enjoy backpacking, gardening and snowshoeing with my husband and babies.

Nashuwah Abdulmaged, CD
Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Wellness Counselor
Hi there! My name is Nashuwah, I go by Inanna for short. As a professional Doula currently based in the Portland, Oregon area, I offer personalized prenatal, birthing, and postnatal care.
My goal is to give you and your family the support and knowledge you need to make informed choices about your pregnancy and labor process; as well as to have the most comfortable and beautiful experience possible.
I strongly believe that during the time of pregnancy an expecting mother is to be nurtured and held in the highest esteem. Pregnancy is a sacred time to each of us and I believe it is the responsibility of a doula to uphold and protect that sacredness.
Malia Silverthorne, IBCLC
Lactation Consultant, Birth Doula
Aloha! I'm Malia and I started my breastfeeding support journey in 2006 after the birth of my third breastfed baby. I began my career as a breastfeeding peer counselor with WIC in Clark County, WA.
After 5 years, I sat for the IBCLC exam and was so excited when I passed! The first thing I wanted to do as a Lactation Consultant was to support friends and family- they are very important to me! When I'm not working with moms & babies through Sea Mar, I'm enjoying the outdoors with my kids through their activities: soccer and gymnastics.
We travel to visit family on my home- O'ahu every year- being from the islands has taught me to go with the flow and be on baby time! When we have our visits, you won't need to worry about the clock- just being with your new little one and learning how to do this breastfeeding thing!
Anne Tegtmeier, IBCLC, LMT
Lactation Consultant, Massage Therapist
Anne’s daughter Lily was born in 2008, and through the experience of overcoming significant breastfeeding obstacles, she decided to begin the process of becoming a lactation consultant. She realized her goal in 2014!
Anne began her professional life as a modern dancer. Since she had experienced firsthand the benefits of massage and other bodywork on athletic performance, she decided to become a practitioner herself, graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2001. She specializes in prenatal massage and deep tissue technique including Ashiatsu, Healing Stone Therapy, Thai Massage and Reflexology.
In her spare time, Anne is also a food blogger, writer, author of two cookbooks, thrower of theme parties with food to match – and, of course, mama to Lily.
