About the event

This is a digital edition of the in-person A Moveable Feast! Workshop. This is a course that goes in-depth about reflexes, movement, and trauma and their impacts on birth and infant feeding with Bryna Sampey, IBCLC.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Before Birth
  • The Physiology of Birth
  • Processing Birth in the Consult
  • How Reflexes Work
  • Let's Try It: Checking Reflexes in the Context of a Consult
  • Barriers to Integration
  • The Sustainable Care Plan
  • Exploring Lifestyles: Opportunities for Movement
  • Group Cohort Video Sessions for Q & A (recorded)
  • Access to Private Cohort Facebook

All materials will be delivered digitally after registration, a few days before the course begins.

It will be useful to have a yoga mat and a baby doll, if you have them.

You can expect about twelve hours of participatory content. You can take this at your own pace over an access period of two weeks. Your workbook never expires, though! You are encouraged to keep adding to it as you discover new things about movement in your practice.

This workshop is movement-heavy. You can expect floor work, movement of your own body, your baby doll, and some videos observing movement. This class is intended for experienced lactation professionals and bodyworkers. If you need an accommodation to participate, please let us know how we can best help you!

This workshop has been approved for 5 L-CERPS by IBLCE (C1991250).

Tickets

  • Early Access Cohort

This is a discounted ticket for the first 25 participants. The discount is understood as an exchange for detailed feedback about the course. As this format is relatively new, it's important that the learning is offered in as digestible a format as possible. Thanks for your participation!
